SpainSat satellite
R&D
SpainSat’s most innovative element is the IRMA an-
tenna, developed wholly in Spain and which protects
secure communications from interference. Other sat-
ellite units have also been developed and manufac-
tured by the Spanish aerospace industry.
The manufacture of this new generation of satellites
has afforded the Spanish aerospace industry greater
participation, obtaining returns of high technological
value.
