PRESENTATION OF THE

2015 FINANCIAL YEAR

One can certainly say that 2015 was an intense
year for Hisdesat. Looking at our income state-
ment, the year was positive with a result above ex-
pectations, and the ability to adapt to the different
scenarios of the business lines that we manage
has been key to our success. Consolidating our
position as a global government satellite services
operator also helps to boost the positioning of the
Spanish space industry internationally. Proof of
this is our involvement in initiatives of various in-
ternational organisations such as NATO, the EDA
with the GOVSATCOM initiative and ESA, where
our participation has been significantly expanded.

The government satellite system, comprising Spa-
insat and Xtar-Eur, is fully operational and provi-
des the secure communications services required
by our national and international clients. A special
mention should go to the Spanish Ministry of Defen-
ce, the Armed Forces and the State Security Forces,
not only for their complete confidence in the sys-
tem, but also for the support that they continually
offer us in promoting it to allies and friendly coun-
tries. These military communications are the back-
bone of the command and control of operations.

Together with the Ministry of Defence, Hisdesat, in line with its aim to augment
R&D, is already paying special attention to and analysing potential innovative
