INNOVATION
SpainSat’s most innovative element is
the IRMA antenna, which was developed
wholly in Spain and which protects se-
cure communications from interference.
Other segments of the satellite have also
been developed and manufactured by
the Spanish aerospace industry.

high level of participation by the Spani-
sh aerospace industry, thus providing
high-value technological returns.
Practically all Spanish companies as-
sociated with aerospace have partici-
pated or are currently participating in
the various projects, meeting technical
excellence criteria and often compe-
ting with international su-ppliers. These
programmes have created a number
of high-tech jobs and opportunities for
